Forehead and frown lines: why assessment considers both

Last updated:

Describe brow movement as well as the line

Horizontal forehead lines and the area between the brows may represent different concerns. Describe how your face changes when you raise or draw together your eyebrows. Explain your priorities if you want both a smoother forehead and preservation of expression. A single close-up does not show rest and movement together. Allow the physician to assess different expressions rather than arriving with a fixed injection map copied from another person.

Leave technical decisions to individual assessment

Injection points and amounts are not fixed instructions to copy online. Share previous botulinum toxin treatment details, dates, changes you noticed and any concerns involving your brows or eyelids. A difference between the two sides in a photograph does not automatically call for another procedure. Clarify how the agreed goal will be reviewed, and avoid treating another person’s plan as a measurement for your own face.

Questions to bring to your consultation

  • What is my priority between smoothness and expression?
  • Have I mentioned previous brow or eyelid concerns?
  • Which goals will be assessed at review?

This article provides general information, not an individual diagnosis, treatment plan or procedure instructions. Discuss suitability, risks and personal care with the appropriate qualified professional.
